Pretty much most of the characters I've created have disabilities.
There's Clinohumite, Arthur Bue and Juniper Gladesong, who all have varying degrees of social anxiety, Chen Lai, who has autism and is mute, and then there's Jason, Jodie, and David, who all three have PTSD in one way or another. (sexual assault, war, and parental abuse, respectively)
For physical disabilities, there's Christina (who is such a minor character in my story that I'm not planning on making her a CharaHub profile just yet) who was born unable to walk and with SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder) but who doesn't quite fall on the autism spectrum otherwise.
I feel very comfortable with making characters with disabilities, as I enjoy bringing awareness to how to treat people who have them, and try my best to do the research neccesary to do so.
PS: Parts of autism shouldn't be classified as disabilities, but the sensory processing issues that come with most cases of the condition can cause major trouble for people that have it, which is why I chose to include it in this post.
