In a moment, he found a gun drawn at him. Grimacing, he scolded himself for getting into an even worse situation. With his back to the clerk, he could only hope the other two were getting out of the way. Yet, the moment came as quick as it left. Shouting - shouting and movement. Another had entered the store, challenging Alex - and somewhere in their clash she somehow seemed to leave the building. Karrie, the new stranger that chased Alex out then asked the clerk for roses. Alyster stood back up from the counter, getting out of her way. He could only imagine what the clerk was thinking in all this chaos.
Suddenly, Riccardo whirled past, obviously fed up with the situation. He stopped near the door, and to Alyster’s surprise, invited him for tea. Alyster blinked, a bit taken back by the invitation. But, after seeing the previous events be presumably normal for folks here, why miss out on a drink of tea? Alyster turned back to the his seed packets, and dig through his pockets. Shit… Here we go… A wad of indistinguishable green paper, and another thin, plastic, awkward square that slipped against the palm of his hand. He really needed Sarle right now. If anything, more time would help but he got the feeling that Riccardo gave no shit about time after what he just saw.
Alyster picked one slip of paper randomly and slammed in on the counter next to the seeds - a 20 dollar bill - and asked without care, “Will this work?” There was no immediate negative reaction to the money. He felt a rush of heat, unsure of his guess when these people had just experienced working with a criminal. He mumbled, overworking himself as he grabbed the nearest pen and a piece of paper - scrawling down a series of numbers. “Call this number if it isn’t!” He shouted, grabbing the handful of packets and making his way out the door. The paper slid it’s way towards the clerk, obviously a phone number - but looking as though it were written by a 5-year old.
”Is that usually how you invite others to tea?” He argued at Riccardo as he left the floral store.
