hello again, sweet-peas!
Giima’s the name, roleplaying’s my game! I’m no greenhorn when it comes to writing or roleplaying, and I’m proud to say I’ve managed to be an avid roleplayer for almost fifteen years! However, don’t let my experience intimidate you, I’d be happy to roleplay with anyone who believes they can meet my requirements!
a bit more about me
Oh thank Arceus I’m free from college. I graduated from Univerity of Minnesota-Duluth in the summer of 2017 at the age of 25…putting my dumb ass through a six-year, dual-Master’s program of Zoology and Animal Behavior, haha. Luckily now, that’s landed me a really great job at a zoo near where I live, Duluth, as what’s called an “animal enrichment and training specialist”: I’m being paid to float around a zoo and play with the wide array of animals, maybe teach them some tricks now and then to amuse the zoogoers.
Okay, I won’t be shy to say that I’m a huge Pokémon fan and have been ever since my first game, Pokémon Silver. Seeing as I’d always loved animals and even scientifically pursued their behaviors into my college years, there was no doubt in my mind that such an infatuation with the series would keep a steadfast grip on my brain. I mean, if you didn’t read the first paragraph under here, I’m basically a real-life Pokémon Trainer at this point. With that being said, I love doing anything that pertains to it: roleplaying, sharing headcanons, talking about things, etc., but it’s not all I do.
okay, but what about roleplaying?
Glad you asked, reader! Like I said before, I am a veteran roleplayer. I love literate, profound roleplays with enough detail to allow space for a plot to grow. Normally, this means I expect about at least three paragraphs of well-written text that gives me enough or more than enough detail for me to work with and relay an equally dedicated response back! I can work with group roleplays and one-on-ones, and in reality I have no favorite of the two. However, I thrive off of OOC chatting to both build the world/plot of the roleplay itself and construct better relationships with my roleplay partners, so if you don’t do that then there’s not much I can do to work with you.
As far as interests and technical roleplaying mechanics go, I can be very flexible. My format will most often if not always stay in simple Times font like this, and will be set up in spaced, non-indented paragraphs such as these. If I am playing multiple characters[another ability I hopefully get out of another roleplay partner], their individual shares of my response will be separated in the headers I’d been using just now! How sneaky, right? Anyhoo, I am very lax on response intervals because I understand the ebb and flow of muse, and life outside RP, I really do; and if you don’t have the drive to continue a roleplay with me, we can make a mutual agreement to put it on hold! Also, interests: Pokémon is a duh, but I am very open to original plots and anything outside fandom. In fact, I have original plots myself, and I do dabble in almost every genre! I will say I don’t do anything steampunk, apocalypse, that sort. Look, if you have an idea, pitch it! The worst that could happen is a “No” or an offer for a consensus/crossover plot.
I WILL RESPOND TO THREAD REPLIES AS WELL AS PRIVATE MESSAGES.
and with warm regards, I hope to meet you all soon!
